Integrity Trends in Latin America 2018

What this edition brings together

The 2018 edition analyzes information collected in 2017 through AMITAI Honestidad in nine Latin American countries. Its introduction reports 226,774 economically active assessed people and describes their distribution by country and generation.

Coverage includes Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and the Dominican Republic. Composition is uneven: Mexico contributes most records. This context matters when reading regional findings.

The question explored

The report examines the justification of behavior related to integrity. Its introduction explicitly distinguishes this focus from counting events that occurred. Percentages should not be presented as rates of crimes committed.
